Looking for a clam shack.
A real clam shack similar to the one in Portsmouth RI. where you order, they hand you a rock with a number on it, get your food and you go sit on the sea wall to eat. Every one I have found on the Cape is a resturant calling them selves a clam shack.
They serve great fried clams, both white (New England) and Grey (no cream, just stock) chowder. Fansastic clams and clam cakes.
So Cape Codders, where is the best Clam SHACK?

Sat, March 13, 2004 - 8:09 AMThe only clam shack I know is Spanky's Clam Shack in Hyannis. lol It IS on the Hyannis Harbor, so it's decently scenic, but I've never been there. You could call ahead and see how they seat and order.
The number is: 508.771.2770
Are you planning a visit to the Cape?
